Position Details
Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Salary: 26,000 pro rata
Type: Temporary / Contract
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6.5 hours per day

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and group support for students with physical disabilities

• Assist in implementing educational and care plans tailored to individual needs

• Encourage student engagement through adaptive and accessible learning strategies

• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff to create an inclusive classroom

• Contribute to a positive and respectful learning environment

Requirements

• Previous experience in a SEND or specialist education setting is preferred

• Confident supporting children with physical disabilities

• A proactive and empathetic approach to challenges

• Ability to collaborate effectively with a wider team

• DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
