We are looking for Shunter Drivers, covering a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, days and nights, 12 hours per shift (6-6 am/pm) in a busy Yard. £14.75ph, £18.43 for any extra shifts worked. This is a temporary to permanent role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Unloading/tipping of bulk trailers & tankers using the appropriate equipment.
- Cleaning inside of trailers once emptied using a pressure washer to remove any remaining product.
- Maintaining equipment like pressure washers, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Movement of full & empty curtain sider trailers within the yard.
- Ensuring all trailers are parked in designated areas and organised for ease of access whilst being aware of the surrounding environment.
- Keeping work area clean, ensuring that debris, waste and other hazards are promptly cleared or reported.
You would need to hold a Shunter License which is essential to ensure trailers are moved safely. HGV is desirable, and a Forklift licence will be an advantage.
