Civil Solicitor

We are seeking a qualified Civil Solicitor with at least 1 year PQE to join our friendly and growing team at KMC Legal & Finance, based at Dunston Farm, near Stafford.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor looking to develop their career within a well-regarded rural practice. You will handle a varied caseload within our Civil Department, which includes:

• Landlord & Tenant matters
• Equine disputes
• Misrepresentation claims
• Consumer rights and breach of contract claims
• Some commercial work
• HR and employment matters
• Wills and estate administration disputes

We also hold a contract with Staffordshire County Council to support young businesses, providing advisory and legal services to new and growing enterprises in the region – offering you the chance to engage with a diverse and dynamic client base.

Our client base is primarily rural, so an interest or background in equine or countryside matters would be advantageous, though not essential.

Training & Development

The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to undertake mediation training, should they wish to expand their skillset in dispute resolution.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
• Minimum 1 year PQE with civil law experience
• Strong client care and communication skills
• Ability to manage a varied and sometimes complex caseload
• Proactive, professional, and team-oriented approach

Hours & Location

• Full-time, 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday to Friday (open to consideration of part time)
• Office-based at Dunston Farm, Dunston, Stafford, ST18 9AB
• Free on-site parking
