At Kent College, Canterbury, we are seeking two Science Technicians to join an outstanding department from September 2024 to support the teaching of Science within the school. The Science Technicians will provide technical support to teaching staff, and will ensure the safe and proper use and maintenance of resources and equipment. Their technical knowledge and skills will support a variety of teaching activities, and as part of our energetic and welcoming team, they will enthuse and motivate students to strive for success while maintaining a healthy environment for all children within the school.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills with experience of working as part of a team, and a well-developed interest in Science is crucial. A Technician NVQ or equivalent or experience in a similar role would be an advantage, but is not essential. There are two positions available: one in General Science (24 hours per week) and one in Chemistry (35 hours per week). Please indicate in your application which position you are applying for.
Kent College is a co-educational school with a Methodist foundation. The school is located in Canterbury, just one hour from the centre of London by train. The Senior School (11 β 18 years) has some 600 boys and girls, approximately one-third boarding and two-thirds day.
