The predicted salary is between 50000 - 60000 £ per year.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to work alongside industry experts, delivering clear, commercial advice to clients. You will be part of a team, whilst also being given the platform to lead and deliver independently across a wide array of building surveying disciplines.

The role involves:

  • Carrying out commercial surveying projects and tasks, including but not limited to; dilapidation advice, preparation of terminal schedules, negotiation and agreement/settlement of dilapidations, pre-lease assessments, acquisition surveys, defects analysis, project management, contract administration, fire reinstatement cost assessments, project monitoring, party wall advice, schedules of condition, planned preventative maintenance, forensic surveying (building pathology), reinstatement cost assessments for insurance purposes, early cost advice and life cycling costing, feasibility studies and asset enhancement, design co-ordination and space planning, specification of works, preparation of drawings using AutoCAD and tendering.
  • Positively engaging with clients; developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Identifying new business opportunities.
  • Providing sound professional advice to both clients and project team members.
  • Mentoring junior members of the team and providing appropriate support; especially to junior surveyors working towards their APC qualification.
  • Working closely alongside the Director and other Surveyors, ensuring clear and open lines of communication.

This role will be based in our Chester offices, but will involve travel to sites across the UK.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range, dependent on experience, for this full-time role is £58,000-£70,000 p/a basic salary, with a generous car allowance, expenses, and bonus schemes. Other benefits include:

For this role, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Commercial building surveying experience with at least 5 years post RICS qualification.
  • Ability to absorb complex information and assess requirements readily.
  • Confident and clear communication skills; both in person and written.
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiating skills.
  • Have a positive and proactive approach.
