Location: Axbridge Road

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Cheddar Woods Resort & Spa in Axbridge, Somerset. This is a permanent position to work part time hours. This will be 20 hours across variable days which will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Flexibility is essential to suit the needs of the business.

Main responsibilities:

  • Take on a range of kitchen responsibilities.
  • Pot washing.
  • Collect, clean and replenish all crockery and kitchen utensils in a prompt and efficient manner.
  • Assist the kitchen team with preparation of various food dishes.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  • Work with the Head Chef to assist with responsibility of various aspects within the kitchen.
  • Prepare fresh ingredients including dough, and cook and serve quality pizza from our external wood fired oven.

Requirements:

  • Some previous experience within a busy kitchen environment is desired.
  • Catering qualifications and Level 3 Food Safety are desirable but not essential.
  • A driving licence and ability to drive is an advantage to enable easy travel to and from the retreat.
