What's the role?
We are currently looking for an Operations Data and Support Systems Assistant to join the Horizon Energy Infrastructure Team at their office in Salisbury. The successful applicant will be a core member of the Operations Team, with the main goal to guarantee revenue streams. The role will be responsible for the quality and availability of systems information and data to manage the meter portfolio. Accurate data is essential to ensure speedy and efficient operational processes including billing. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential issues and implementing corrective actions, remedying areas of revenue leakage and maintaining a variety of data across multiple systems and sources.
This role is offered on a hybrid working basis and the contractual hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and update data in operational registers, the meter portfolio management system and associated financial systems to maintain data accuracy and validity.
- Log, record and create assets in the meter portfolio management system, delete or amend records where applicable and maintain registers of all activity linked to finance reconciliations.
- Prepare termination data to cease billing activity for meters on rental, issue invoices to customers tracking payments and updating internal records.
- Assist in validating invoice disputes, respond promptly to external customers, adjust data where necessary in company systems and implement corrective financial/data transactions when required.
- Manage escalation of data discrepancies internally with IT colleagues and externally with outsourced partners.
- Test system updates, record changes and implement training on changes with other colleagues.
- Provide senior management with accurate reports reflecting portfolio health and provide timely reports to the finance department monthly.
