An exciting opportunity has opened with a growing industrial company in the North East for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician. This is a hands-on role where you will play a vital part in maintaining and improving key production assets. You will join a collaborative team focused on efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement, within a site committed to operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled maintenance inspections and carry out reactive repairs
- Deliver corrective work efficiently to reduce production downtime
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability and overall plant performance
- Conduct dynamic risk assessments to ensure safe working practices
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts availability
- Provide technical guidance on faults and equipment breakdowns
- Support installation and refurbishment projects as needed
- Ensure CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) is kept up to date
- Contribute to root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Report regularly on maintenance KPIs and planned activities
Candidate Profile:
- NVQ Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering (or equivalent)
- HNC, City & Guilds, or other relevant electrical qualifications
- Proficient in using CMMS software
- Solid understanding of electrical systems within a maintenance environment
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
