A little about our Wednesbury site:
Our advanced manufacturing site in Wednesbury, West Midlands, is our newest advanced manufacturing site, and we’ve invested around £4.7 million into state-of-the-art facilities. Our Wednesbury site is a flagship Added Value center for Avara, which employs over 150 talented individuals at the site, who help to supply some of the UK’s largest supermarkets and popular restaurants!
About the role:
Join our team as a Despatch Operative in Wednesbury! In joining our Logistics team, you will be given the opportunity to train and develop throughout our clear progression pathways. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with Warehouse experience wanting to develop further, or someone who just fancies a change in direction.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Scanning
- Loading/unloading of stock
- Stock taking
What we are looking for:
- Counterbalance or FLT licence (essential)
- Knowledge of despatch areas (essential)
- The ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively
- Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks
- Experience within a production/manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
Working hours:
Monday-Friday 18:00-03:00
Benefits:
- £12.71-£13.10 per hour (paid weekly), + an extra £2 per hour for hours worked between 18.00 and 06.00
- Free on-site and off-site parking
- Secure contract and guaranteed hours
