Our Fowler Welch Depot in Broxburn are now looking for a Warehouse Operative/Shunter on a full time basis.
Shift: 4ON 4OFF Days - 08:00am-20:00pm.
Salary: £599.18 per week. Additional shifts - £171.19 per shift.
Please be advised that Shunting will be expected in this role. You will be expected to reverse trailers onto a Bay so Shunter experience is essential.
Job Description:
- To receive, pick and consolidate customer orders using the Manhattan warehouse management system (WMS) as required.
- Maintaining the flow of product in and out of the area as the day’s work dictates.
- To carry out all tasks in a timely and efficient manner to ensure continuity of business for Fowler Welch and our customers.
- To ensure you load/unload product strictly in line with the company's policies and procedures.
- To ensure the correct documentation is completed for all inbound and despatch loads.
- Reporting any trailer or MHE faults in line with company procedures and ensuring VOR vehicles are placed in the designated areas.
- To remain vigilant in ensuring goods are picked and assembled accurately as per instructions.
- To ensure despatched loads are properly secured prior to leaving the loading bay.
- To reach and maintain the standards required to meet the Company's productivity targets.
- Ensure all practices and procedures are safely carried out in line with the company’s Health & Safety policy, SSOW’s and HACCP regulations, where appropriate, and to challenge colleagues who fail to adhere to any such rules or regulations.
- Ensure that company standards of hygiene and housekeeping are achieved and maintained.
- Ensure customer returns are received, recorded and notified to the appropriate Stock Controller.
- To assist the Stock Controllers as and when required.
- To assist colleagues when required and to behave in a harmonious, courteous manner at all times.
Qualifications:
- Shunting experience is essential.
- Ability to work within a chilled environment.
- Able to work to targets within a fast pace environment.
- Understanding of verbal and numerical reasoning.
- Conscientious and reliable nature.
