About The Role
We are seeking a Foundry Process Technician with a strong background in manufacturing and engineering environments. The candidate should be computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Principle Role/Accountabilities:
- Familiarize yourself with FVC foundryβs current manufacturing processes and in-house database systems.
- Monitor and review current practices.
- Take ownership of current process controls to maximize quality.
- Maintain, review, and update work instructions.
- Liaise with the molding team to maintain and review sand/resin testing requirements.
- Collate data from R&D trials and present findings to the technical and production teams.
- Inspect and dispatch products between Billingham and Sheffield.
- Conduct internal audits in line with certification requirements.
- Work safely in accordance with Paralloy LTD safety standards and procedures.
- Monitor the calibration of machines and equipment according to scheduled plans.
Advantageous but non-essential skills/experience:
- Previous manufacturing and factory experience.
- Adaptable and flexible attitude towards work.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Understanding of health & safety, environmental issues, and quality standards.
- Experience working as part of a team.
- Foundry experience.
Working hours
37 hours per week: 07:30-16:00, Monday to Thursday, and 07:30-12:30 on Friday.
