About The Role
This role is predominantly workshop based in Central Scotland and requires a hard-working self-motivated individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You will be part of a busy dynamic team committed to maintaining a large Draeger installed base by providing efficient examination, test, service, repair, and recalibration on the full range of products from the vast Draeger Safety portfolio and maintaining the companies Rental Robot portfolio throughout the UK.
The main details are highlighted below:
- To perform workshop examination, test, service, repair, and recalibration on the full range of products from the Draeger portable gas portfolio and the pre-rental preparation of Draeger Rental Equipment whilst ensuring client deadlines are met.
- High housekeeping standards by keeping work areas clean & tidy whilst maintaining company assets & tools in accordance with company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate auditable ATEX register.
- Ensure required turnaround time are achieved for all repairs IAW agreed service level agreement.
- Complete all product and process training as directed by Contract Manager.
- Completion of all mandatory technical processes relating to the repairs as detailed in Test certificates and service manuals.
- Preparation of technical repair reports as required by the customer.
- Completion of all service orders to ensure accurate quotation and invoice creation.
- Ensure correct reporting of spare parts to ensure stock accuracy is maintained at all times.
- Compliance with health and safety requirements within the workshop at all times.
- Take a proactive approach to improving workshop efficiency and safety.
- Understanding of COSHH requirements within workshop.
- Correct handling of all tooling.
- Flexible approach to other repair orientated tasks as required.
- Planned and unplanned shutdowns to be supported including occasional out of hours and weekend working.

Size of team/environment
You will be welcomed into a small team predominantly supporting Ineos FPS and O&P contracts covering the portable gas detection set up throughout Scotland including scheduled and unscheduled shutdown support.
Your Qualifications
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications: The candidate would preferably be qualified in a related technical area such as electronic, electrical, computer or mechanical engineering. However, depending on experience, possessing the willingness to learn and an authentic attitude in the spirit of Draeger may be sufficient.
Related Experience
Experience in Inspection and Repair of Fixed & Portable Gas Detection and Shutdown Management is preferable.
