The Enhanced Response Service is a fast-paced service providing support to service users who trigger their telecare alarm, working alongside the ambulance service to respond to non-injured falls. We promote independence and signpost service users to Partnership teams for care and support in a person-centred way.

This role requires flexible working, including morning, evening, and weekend shifts, with the ability and willingness to travel across the team area.

What will you be doing?

  • Support workers assist with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, catheter care, feeding, meal prep, medication), respond to falls and telecare alerts, and provide reassurance and practical help in coordination with other services such as Fire and Rescue and Ambulance.
  • You will apply learning from adult protection, diversity, and mental capacity training, and be responsible for recognising and reporting incidents or concerns according to Council policy.
  • You will liaise effectively within the team and with other agencies (assistive technology, health colleagues) to ensure effective service delivery.
  • You will also complete documentation regarding service users' care, following CCC policy.

About you

  • You should have previous experience in a care environment, preferably within Adult social care, with an NVQ Level 2 Care qualification or equivalent, and be willing to work towards Level 3.
  • You need to demonstrate a good standard of general education, including basic literacy and numeracy, and have good IT skills to update electronic records.
  • The role involves flexible working, including shifts at different times, and travel across Cambridgeshire.
  • You must have access to a car, a full driving license, and business insurance.

The available positions are:

  • 18.25 hours/week at Hinchingbrook Hospital, Huntingdon
  • 14.75, 18, or 18.25 hours/week at Hereward Hall, March
