Reporting to the NHH/HH Asset Product Owner, the Technical Support Engineer role is to ensure SMS achieves its installation commitments safely, by providing support and technical knowledge to employees and customers. The role involves travel to audit, coach, mentor, and develop CT Field Engineers, and taking the lead on CT Electric training delivery in collaboration with the Training and Compliance Manager. This role is field-based, with 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Key Responsibilities: Ensure health, safety, and environmental regulations and targets are met, promoting safety and technical standards. Support development of e-learning training and procedural updates. Deliver high-standard training. Assist with external audits and visits. Assess candidates for CT Electric metering installations. Develop and improve training programs. Manage the CT Electric competency assessment process. Mentor and coach field workforce for continuous improvement. Conduct tooling and equipment checks for compliance. To be considered for this role, we would love the following: Required: Current UK driving license or equivalent. Experience with CT HV and LV metering installations. 18th Edition Qualified (preferred). Experience with CT HV and LV Inspection and Testing. Desirable: IOSH certification. Assessor qualification. Skills and Knowledge: Commercial awareness. Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines. Effective workload prioritization. Data Protection and GDPR compliance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Technical coaching ability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
