As a Fundraising Apprentice, you’ll become a valued member of the team at St John’s Hospice, working within a dynamic, experienced and supportive team. This is a Level 3 apprenticeship designed to develop the right individual through hands-on experience and structured learning. You’ll receive external training from The Juice Academy, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to build a long-term career in the fundraising sector.

This is a new and exciting opportunity that combines day-to-day work with dedicated off-the-job training. Apprenticeships are more than just jobs—they’re vocational training programmes that allow you to earn while you learn, all while contributing to a charity that’s committed to growing and developing its team.

You will be based from our Fundraising office at the main Hospice in Lancaster, however as part of this role you will travel to events across the area we serve. It is essential that you hold a full UK driving licence with business insurance. You will be entitled to claim out of pocket expenses (mileage and parking) in accordance with our policy.

The salary listed is for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship and the following 6-months this will be raised to the age-appropriate minimum wage. The apprenticeship will start in September 2025. This post is subject to a standard DBS check. The cost of this check is currently £26.30 and this will be deducted from the successful applicant's first salary payment. £18,525.00 per annum (based on 37.5 hours / week)
