We are one of the largest wellbeing centres in the north east of England and we are looking for a self employed Massage Therapist to join our team. You will be working in your own private treatment room, with towels and equipment included. We have a large reception area with an excellent support team to look after your patients before and after treatment.

With five private treatment rooms plus reception/waiting area, we are proud of our busy clinic which is located just outside of Newcastle City Centre. With excellent transport links via bus on the doorstep and a free car park for staff and patients, it is the perfect destination for work!

By joining our multidisciplinary team, any new therapist can expect to work with wellness minded practitioners, including fellow remedial massage therapists, chiropractors & osteopaths, sports therapists and reflexologists.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of various massage techniques and a strong knowledge of human anatomy. You will be responsible for providing high-quality therapeutic massage services to clients, helping them to alleviate stress, relieve pain, and promote overall well-being.

Duties

• Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their needs and health concerns.
• Perform a variety of massage techniques, including Swedish, deep tissue, and sports massage.
• Ideally be able to also offer holistic therapies, such as Reflexology, Facial Therapy, Indian head massage etc
• Maintain accurate records of client treatments and progress.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients.
• Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend follow-up treatments as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy techniques.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
• Hours: Monday 8:30am – 2:00pm & Tuesday 1:30pm – 7:00pm. Self employed.

Experience

• Proven experience as a Massage Therapist is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of human anatomy is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients.
• Ability to create a relaxing atmosphere for clients during treatments.
• Certification from an accredited massage therapy programme is required. Must be qualified to at least level 3, be registered with the relevant governing body (eg, FHT, STA etc) and have relevant insurance.
