Domestic Assistant – Care Home

Location: Copford Place, Copford, Essex

Employment Type: Permanent – Part Time

Overview

Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not-for-profit charity that has supported older people for over 120 years. Our care home, Copford Place, is one of nine run by FotE, focusing on giving residents a fulfilled life.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain the care home to high standards of hygiene.
• Perform general domestic duties such as vacuuming, polishing tables, wiping chairs and emptying bins.
• Assist with laundry services.
• Help serve meals and refreshments to residents.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Good standard of English and numeracy skills.
• Comfortable using basic digital technology for online training.
• No prior experience required – comprehensive training will be provided.
• Knowledge of COSHH and Health & Safety is beneficial but not essential.
• Successful candidates will undergo an enhanced DBS check; employment is contingent on satisfactory outcome.
