Location: Hybrid - Derry/Balmoral

Working Hours: Monday – Saturday, 40 Hours per week, between 7am and 7pm shift pattern.

Job Purpose:

Principal Quality Technicians are responsible for driving quality and safety throughout our installation and service visits. Ensuring that installations and service visits are completed right-first time and safely, in line with Netomnia specifications. The role will consist of completing quality audits against our engineers in the field, quality checking the integrity of the data we are receiving on a visit and owning any non-conformance or training opportunities. The Principal Quality Technicians will run daily coaching calls with engineers who require support or training on Netomnia specifications and will own the improvement and ongoing development to ensure we are delivering a first-class service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 3 quality audits completed in the field per day
  • Reviewing and assessing quality images and data sent back from the field, and identifying areas that can be improved
  • Owning and running daily coaching calls with engineers in the field to drive improvement
  • Tracking and managing non-conformance on an engineer-by-engineer basis, and ensuring that our partners are taking prompt actions to improve
  • Driving and improving quality focus within the region, to reduce ELF and ILF
  • Supporting the Regional Service Delivery manager in improving all quality aspects within the region

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise:

  • Experience in working in a similar role within the telecoms industry
  • Experience in coaching/developing engineers
  • A passion for quality of work, and bringing others on a journey to improve
  • Ability to conduct risk assessment and hazard identification, with a strong emphasis on Health and Safety practices
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Clear and concise communication abilities
  • A proactive approach to improving processes, and efficiencies, with the customer always in the forefront of the decision
