If you were to join us as a Vehicle Preparation Assistant, here is what you want to know:

  • Salary: £12.35 per hour + bonus
  • Location: Glasgow
  • Shift pattern: 5 over 7, including weekends as we are a 7-day retail business
  • Hours: 42.5 hrs per week
  • Contract type: Permanent

Due to the nature of the role, we will require you to have a full UK driving licence.

About The Role

If you have a passion for cars, love managing a detailed and service-led process and enjoy working as part of a fast-paced and energetic team, you may have found your ideal job! Our preparation department is a key department on every site, and our fantastic Vehicle Preparation Assistants support the business by providing a hands-on operational service managing cars as they arrive on site. Working closely with colleagues and customers, you will manage your work via an app that creates a computer-based list to work from and facilitate the collection of vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. You will complete basic mechanical maintenance as and when required and complete pre-display and pre-collection valets.

What will my day-to-day look like?

  • Checking in cars in all weathers, managing our in-house IT systems
  • On a daily basis, you will be checking vehicles for damage, checking all vehicle specifications and service history, and completing inspection data for vehicle loading
  • This is a fast-paced role so the ability to stay calm and maintain excellent attention to detail as well as the desire to produce high-quality work is really important
  • Support with the reconditioning of vehicles and the preparation for collection and pitch - including valeting
  • High attention to detail is required to detect and rectify any preparation or cleanliness issues outside of our standard
