Auburn University Outreach is seeking to hire a Student Media Production Assistant. The production assistant will assist with various video, photo, and audio projects to help publicise initiatives within the division of Outreach. Applicants should be undergraduate students in Media Studies, Journalism, Sports Production, or a related field. Candidates outside these majors with extensive experience shooting and editing video will be considered. The Student Media Production Assistant will help with the creation of video content, assisting with filming, editing, and post-production tasks.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with shooting, producing, and editing promotional videos for Auburn Outreach
  • Film and edit video projects highlighting Outreach projects and programs
  • Assist with social media content creation and production
  • Assist videographer/graphic designer with tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled student at Auburn University
  • Ability to shoot video and edit

Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate student in Visual Media Studies or related field, or vast experience in videography
  • Experience with shooting DSLR cameras
  • Knowledge and experience in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Lightroom

Pay Rate

$10.00-$12.00/hour

10-15 hours per week
