The Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH) ADHD service is looking to recruit experienced and qualified ADHD Nurse Practitioners to support in the ongoing growth of the service. The Trust is committed to an ambitious target of significantly reducing the waiting times for diagnosis and treatment of ADHD, and these posts form a part of that plan. Working within an established and supportive team as part of a wider service across the Trust, these posts are key in delivering a high-quality and timely service to the patients in our area.

Main duties of the job:

  • This role involves assessing adults for ADHD, taking into account other possible conditions to make accurate diagnostic decisions.
  • You will use your clinical expertise to determine and initiate treatments for ADHD.
  • You will have autonomy in diagnostic decision-making with support from the wider team and will initiate, adjust, and maintain treatment including reviews for patients within the pathway.
  • You will monitor physical health indicators, assess for risks, and work with colleagues within and outside the team.
  • You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team with regular clinical and managerial supervision and will be supported to engage in ongoing professional development.
  • The team currently operates Monday - Friday 9-5; however, it will be expanding to 7-day working, so can support flexible working hours.

Person specification:

  • Registered Nurse (RNM, RNLD, RGN)
  • Evidence of up-to-date and applicable CPD.
  • Motivated with a genuine interest in Neurodiversity.
  • Hold V300 (Independent Supplementary Prescribing).
  • Evidence of extensive post-registration learning & development.
  • Previous experience in clinical leadership and delivering clinical supervision.
  • Completed UKAAN training with experience as a diagnostician or willing to work towards.
