At Cavendish Nuclear we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Material Coordinator at our Hinkley Point C site.

This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance works across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station’s vast network of rooms.

The role:

  • Support the coordination, communication, and control of construction materials to ensure smooth delivery, scheduling and integration across multiple teams and departments.
  • Attend coordination meetings involving procurement, expediting, and warehouse inventory.
  • Process Material Requests aligned with the 16-week lookahead schedule.
  • Liaise with material package managers, warehouse teams and construction crews to ensure smooth flow of materials.
  • Provide input and visual data to support material forecasting and planning.
  • Collaborate with planning, engineering, logistics and site-wide teams to ensure efficient material handling.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Hinkley Point C.

Essential experience of the Material Coordinator:

  • Proven track record of material/asset management, ideally in construction or warehouse environments.
  • Strong data and reporting skills, including KPI input and trend analysis.
  • Collaborative and confident working with multiple departments.
  • Experience handling documentation and inventory management systems.

Security Clearance:

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
