This role is for a Quantitative Analyst with some experience in Credit pricing who will work in London and focus primarily on model development activities for the Front Office Credit trading desk. This will include working closely with the traders to drive developments and improvements in valuations and risk methodology.

Key responsibilities:

  • Working with traders, sales, structurers and other modellers to execute product development plans in line with business priorities.
  • Awareness of the economic, market and regulatory environment in which FM operates, especially as regards model and analytics capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain models for the Front Office pricing and risk management of Credit products with an emphasis on Flow Credit products (Loan, risky Bond, CDS and TRS etc.).
  • Delivery of model documentation and testing material.
  • Improving and maintaining existing analytics.
  • Research into alternative models and numerical techniques as well as ongoing assessment of models published in industry or academic literature.
  • Provide day-to-day support for relevant business units.

Our Ideal Candidate:

  • This role is for a mid to senior Quantitative Analyst.
  • Solid experience required as a Front Office Credit pricing quant or other relevant pricing quant.
  • Good knowledge of Credit Products e.g. Loan, Risky Bond, CDS, TRS and Bond Option, etc.
  • Background in numerical and mathematical methods.
  • Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Financial Mathematics or Computer Science, plus related Master's or PhD.
  • Coding knowledge in C++ is a mandatory requirement.
