Job Title: WW Process Operator

Location: Goddards Green, West Sussex (travel to multiple sites and a full UK driving licence required)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 38 hours per week

Salary: £27,496.64 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Compliance testing
• Maintenance tasks – unblocking pumps, screens and valves to ensure continuous plant operation
• Repair of alarms systems
• Monitoring, collating and reporting data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance
• Fault finding and problem‑solving skills to respond to breakdowns
• Site hygiene in line with regulatory obligations
• Using IT systems to log maintenance tasks and field activities, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and regulatory standards

Essential Qualities & Responsibilities

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Prepared to work within a 7‑day rota and participate in standby duty
• Team player who understands how your work supports Southern Water’s mission
• Adaptable, flexible, patient, reliable and self‑motivated
• Strong time‑management skills
• Confident to work effectively and efficiently independently
• Keen to learn and operate complex processes with high quality controls
• Do not need a background in the water industry – we welcome fresh perspectives

Qualifications

• Valid UK Manual Driving Licence
