Ronald Fletcher Baker LLP is currently seeking a highly motivated IT Technician to join our growing Digital & IT team. The IT Support Technician will work closely with the IT team to maintain and support all fee earners globally. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our employees, providing prompt and effective technical support for a range of IT issues. Primarily based in the Manchester office, the IT Support Technician will be required to travel to existing offices throughout England and assist onsite in their areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support:
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals).
  • Troubleshoot software issues (Microsoft Office Suite, operating systems, common applications).
  • Resolve network connectivity problems (Wi-Fi, DNS, LAN).
  • Basic Azure AD administration (password and multi factor resets)
  • Assist with mobile device support (iOS and Android).
  • Maintain and update IT documentation: Maintain and update internal knowledge base with troubleshooting steps and solutions.
  • Assist with IT projects: Participate in IT projects as required (e.g., hardware upgrades, software deployments).
  • General administrative support: ensuring the office is appropriately organised, general assistance.
  • Provide technical training: To provide technical training on our system to new starters and other employees as necessary.
  • Desktop support: Image and deploy new workstations, provide remote support to users.

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT Support role.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Experience with common software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, Windows, web browsers).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
