Field Services Engineer

Location: South West Region (Workshop available in South West, occasional requirement to attend Head Office in Whitchurch, Shropshire) Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional technical support and service to our customers in the field. You will work closely with customers to ensure that their equipment is functioning optimally, addressing any issues that arise, and performing routine maintenance and installations as required. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service. Responsibilities Conduct on-site installations, maintenance, and repairs of equipment and systems. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions in a timely manner. Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on customer equipment. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Maintain accurate records of service activities, including reports on repairs and maintenance performed. Provide training and support to customers on the proper use of equipment. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance service delivery. Qualifications A degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications. Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems. Excellent problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with customers. A valid driving license is essential for travel to client sites. Previous experience in a field service role is advantageous but not mandatory.
