Job duties of the Health and Safety Manager are to: Stay updated on QEHS laws and regulations and apply them to company practices to minimize Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety risks Manage and ensure QSHE compliance of all sites and in line with relevant accreditation and certification requirements Be the Company’s Technically Competent Manager in all aspects of QEH&S. Promote the continuing improvement in Health and Safety for all business areas Support all investigations of HSE accidents & incidents and develop necessary actions to mitigate reoccurrence Maintain the Company ISO certifications Act as point of contact for all Enforcing Authorities, such as the HSE, Environment Agency etc Manage and monitor all Environmental and Health & Safety statutory emission testing Skills and experience required: Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an Environmental, Health and Safety role, preferably within the Waste Industry Certified Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH), have experience of implementing and managing an ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificated Management System Hold a certified qualification to a relevant regulatory body such as IEMA or working towards.
