Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of their client in Slough for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join a busy logistics team in a temp to perm role for the right candidate. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling goods inwards, stock control, and general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles for inbound goods.
- Booking items into stock systems using barcode scanners and assigning them to storage locations.
- Ensuring all items are scanned correctly on arrival/departure, with any discrepancies reported to the relevant team within 2 hours.
- Reporting damaged or faulty goods to the customer service department.
- Keeping stock organized and stored correctly in designated areas, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment across the warehouse, including outdoor areas.
- Picking and packing daily orders when required.
- Completing general administrative tasks as needed.
- Performing daily checks on Flexi forklift and scissor lift equipment. Any faults must be reported and logged with maintenance providers, with major issues escalated to management.
- Conducting regular safety checks of racking and ensuring fire exits are kept clear.
- Supporting the wider warehouse team as required.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Flexi Forklift License
- Minimum 1 year of warehouse experience
- Full UK driving licence required
Schedule
- Monday to Friday - 9.30am to 6pm
- Occasional weekend availability may be required
