Origination Lead, Top Decile Software Growth Investor, London, UK About our client We are working with a top decile US growth/private equity firm to expand their European presence. They focus on investing in high quality B2B software companies with the potential for supercharged growth, taking a very hands-on approach to accelerating their development. Through a combination of capital and operational expertise they look to unlock transformational growth within their portfolio companies and ensure outsized and consistent returns. The team is seeking to hire an Origination Lead to help grow its presence in Europe, with the role based in London. Their track record is impeccable, and their returns are among the best in the market. They have an established European track record (c. 50% of their deals in the latest fund have been in Europe). This is a high-profile role where you will be responsible for the sourcing of new investments in one of their key European markets. You will lead the full cycle of the origination process, from the sourcing to the qualification of investment opportunities, with complete ownership over this part of the process. You will also have a long-term involvement with the portfolio via add-on acquisitions. The importance of this role cannot be underestimated as historically 86% of their pipeline is proprietary deal-flow and you will be a key part of that continued success – as such the Origination team is held in incredibly high esteem internally and this is a key hire for them. What the job involves Directly identify and source software companies in key European markets open for investment Provide expert guidance on local market conditions in key European markets and serve as a thought leader regarding European investment sourcing and origination strategy. Grow and nurture relationships with target software company CEOs, founders, and shareholders in key European markets Work closely with Partners and the investment team to close new software investments in key European markets Craft the strategy and execute the right process and system to continuously improve sourcing and investment origination efforts Who we are looking for Significant experience in investment banking (Partner/Director level) or in growth/private equity, with exposure to origination A track record of identifying target companies, building and nurturing relationships, and advancing target opportunities Executive-level presence and communication A bias for action and a hands-on attitude Understanding of software businesses and strong judgment to evaluate them in an investment capacity Very strong UK network #J-18808-Ljbffr
