About The Role
We are actively seeking a Works Scheduler to join our friendly, dedicated team that ensures our customer needs are met in an efficient and timely manner. An excellent telephone manner and problem-solving skills are a must. We are looking for an individual seeking progression with 50% of the team having been moved up levels in the last 2 years and now all earning a new pay grade.
Location: Pride Park, Derby, Derbyshire.
Hours: 40 hours per week on a 7-week rotating schedule. 3 weeks a month 07:00am-15:30pm and one week 09:00am-18:00pm. One weekend a month required.
Salary: £26,000 per annum (with potential annual bonuses based on performance on top)
Overtime: Paid at x1.5 (Monday-Saturday) and x2 on a Sunday.
Responsibilities - But Not Limited To:
- Optimising, preparing and scheduling the preventive, planned and remedial maintenance.
- You will schedule work orders in accordance with SLAs, whilst optimising travel routes and increasing productivity.
- Working closely with the engineers to identify and rectify issues whilst improving the effectiveness of the operations department.
- Maintaining high standards within Health, Safety & Environment, Housekeeping, Performance, Waste, Communication and Continuous Improvement.
- Effectively supporting the Operations Manager and operations team to meet output requirements in quality expectations, cost management and the delivery of key objectives and operational performance targets.
- Managing and coordinating the promoted workload according to defined priorities, estimating resource and duration requirements in line with agreed metrics.
- Participate and support scheduled meetings.
Experience And Qualifications Required For The Role:
- Working knowledge of SAP systems would be desirable.
- Experience of working within a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience of planning and coordinating maintenance work.
- Proven knowledge of using continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Ability to make decisions in a time-pressured environment.
- Competent skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
