Pertemps are delighted to be recruiting for our public sector client for an Archive Assistant on a temporary basis.

Location – West of Edinburgh

Hours – 36 hours, Monday – Friday, between the hours of 0900 – 1700

Pay rate - £13.48 per hour

Duration – 6 months

Start date – 23rd June 2025

The successful applicant will be joining an established team to support with movement of records and archives to another site. The role will be physically demanding and will involve, but not be limited to:

  • Logging enquiries
  • Boxing up archives
  • Marking up boxes
  • Lifting boxes
  • Moving records
  • Ensuring archives are maintained on the correct shelving
  • Climbing ladders
  • Working as part of a team to support with any other tasks as required

You should have an interest in history and have good attention to detail.
