Our accredited Nurse Residency Program will bring opportunities for growth and development during your first ten months of clinical nursing. This program provides continued education for any nurse with less than one year of experience. We are currently looking to hire Nurse Residents in the BMC Operating Room for our July 2025 Cohort. Our residency program offers: Comprehensive unit-based orientation Professional pathways exclusively available to nurse residents with an overarching goal of expanding professional development Diverse and engaging learning curriculum Layers of support at the unit, program organization, and system level DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW: This unit has a highly experienced team that supports 24 new state of the art inpatient/outpatient operating rooms and 8 heart and vascular and neurology interventional procedure rooms, performing surgical procedures to restore and enhance the lives of patients. This unit operates 24/7 with coverage and support expectations of weekends and off-shift rotations at least quarterly. Nurse Managers responsibilities are centralized within five major areas: Clinical Practice and Quality Outcomes, Human Resource Leadership, Management of the Environment, Financial Growth and Stewardship, and Strategic Planning.
