An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mobile Maintenance Electrician to join a national FM service provider supporting a major UK supermarket client. Working across sites in the Tamworth area, this role involves maintaining and repairing a wide range of electrical, mechanical, catering, and bakery equipment within retail environments. This is a permanent, full-time role, ideal for an electrician with experience in reactive and planned maintenance across commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) to schedule
- Carry out reactive maintenance and minor repairs as required
- Maintain and repair catering and bakery equipment
- Conduct emergency lighting and fire alarm testing and repairs
- Diagnose faults and escalate non-repairable issues with recommendations
- Ensure all work is completed in line with compliance and health & safety standards
- Accurately complete all associated paperwork and digital records using a PDA
Qualifications & Experience (Essential):
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation/Maintenance
- City & Guilds 18th Edition
- AM2 and/or C&G 2391 Inspection & Testing
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Experience maintaining commercial electrical and mechanical systems
- Comfortable working independently and using a PDA/mobile job system
- Previous retail maintenance or commercial catering equipment experience desirable
Salary & Package:
- £40,593.78 total salary (includes on-call/standby payments)
- Standby Rota: 1 in 4 weeks (13 periods annually)
- Competency Payment: Additional £1,500 after completing internal training for electrical fault-finding on bakery/catering equipment (training provided during probation – two 1-week blocks)
