Product and Contracting Director, Wiltshire. Global Tour Operator, Hybrid. A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a multi-award winning, innovative and global tour operator that create unique land and cruise packages for a number of global source markets.
Product and Contracting Director Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Managing Director and with responsibilities for a sizeable team across product, contracting and aviation.
- Lead on the medium to long term global strategy for Cruise, Land Tours, Hotels, Rail and Air to support growth and service excellence.
- Develop an appropriate structure and processes to support the purchasing of all elements across global markets.
- Overall responsibility for the procurement of services from suppliers, ensuring the best rates are negotiated and sufficient inventory to meet the business needs.
- Responsible for the departments budgets, P&L and overheads.
- Recruitment and developing a high performing and motivate team, ensuring they have clear performance goals and the support necessary to achieve them.
- Drive automation and processes that deliver enhanced efficiency and processes.
- Ensure compliance with consumer legislation and keep up to date with any changes that may effect the business.
Product and Contracting Director Skills Required
- In depth experience of contracting and product management experience gained within the travel industry.
- A strategically capable and commercially astute individual.
- Ability to work in a highly agile and fast pace environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of developing and managing large teams.
- Flexible to travel on company business which can at times be on short notice when required.
