Our client, a well-established and an AJ100 practice with multiple offices across the UK, is seeking a talented and proactive Design Architect to join their Birmingham team. Known for delivering high-quality solutions across a wide portfolio, they are particularly active in the industrial and logistics sectors.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an Architect with a passion for functional design and strategic thinking. The successful candidate will become an integral part of a collaborative team, contributing to major industrial projects from concept through to delivery. With projects spread across the UK, this role offers diversity, autonomy, and the chance to work closely with high-profile clients.
Key Responsibilities for this Architect role:- Collaborate with team members to deliver design work to tight deadlines
- Translate client briefs into creative, practical design concepts
- Conduct site visits to assess context and inform design decisions
- Prepare masterplans that reflect both client goals and site potential
- Produce feasibility studies to support informed client decisions
- Compile planning submission materials aligned with local authority requirements
- Coordinate with in-house visualisation teams to produce high-quality imagery
- Attend early stakeholder meetings to shape project direction
- Lead the creation of Design & Access Statements and planning documentation
- Develop tender-stage drawings, maintaining design integrity through technical and commercial changes
- Produce detailed design work primarily using Revit, with some use of AutoCAD
- Experience leading projects, ideally in the industrial or commercial sectors
- Strong proficiency in Revit with hands-on experience delivering projects (candidates will complete a Revit assessment as part of the interview process)
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
- Confident working independently while also contributing to team efforts
- Receptive to feedback and committed to continuous professional development
- High standards of accuracy and attention to technical detail
- Clear and effective written communication, supported by well-presented drawings
