The Equine Instructor is responsible for carrying out the duties of the Horse Program, which includes feeding and caring for the horses, leading skills classes, conducting trail rides, cleaning the tack area, and maintaining tack and equipment. Oversee the equine rotations that provide trail rides for all kids, youth, and mission teams. Take care of all horses and the arena to provide an incredible environment for kids to interact with horses and grow in their character, trust, and leadership.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all arenas, tack areas, and for equipment.
  • Facilitate the organization and pairing of participants with horses for rotations/trail rides.
  • Care for all horses, including morning and afternoon chores and care in between rotations.
  • Assist in teaching and instructing participants during rotations.
  • Assist in supervising and coaching the Horse Wranglers.
