We're working exclusively with a leading manufacturer based in Devizes, currently seeking a Continuous Improvement Technician to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in process engineering, quality, or manufacturing support who is looking to make a tangible impact within a progressive, forward-thinking business.

The Role:

Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Manager, you'll be the go-to person for identifying inefficiencies, improving manufacturing processes, and delivering real, measurable improvements across departments. This role offers exposure to multiple areas of the business including Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations Support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Working hands-on with production teams to improve efficiency, yields, and overall process performance
  • Implementing Lean Manufacturing principles (e.g., SMED, Poka-Yoke) to standardise and streamline processes
  • Conducting root cause analysis and leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • Monitoring and improving machine utilisation using OEE data
  • Supporting new product and process introductions from concept to launch
  • Leading process audits, waste walks, and improvement workshops

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production support role
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean tools and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Excellent data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to read technical drawings and use SolidWorks (desirable)
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems (ideally AS9100)
  • A passion for innovation, improvement, and getting things done!

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Improvement Techniques (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3 Improvement Technician - or willingness to work towards via apprenticeship (training provided)
