Job Purpose β To provide high-quality, person-centred support to enable and empower clients to develop the skills necessary for independent living.
Summary β This job sits within Sanctuary Supported Living (SSL), which helps people to live independently by providing high-quality, registered and non-registered specialist support and housing services.
The job holder will ensure they fully understand and fulfill their responsibilities regarding Health & Safety and Equality & Diversity at all times.
This profile is not an exhaustive list of duties; other activities requiring similar skill levels may be carried out.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to enable clients to develop skills for independent living within legislative, regulatory, and best practice frameworks.
- Establish professional relationships with clients, using clear communication to promote independence, develop daily living skills, and social engagement, while maintaining personal choice, privacy, and dignity.
- Assist with budget setting, managing voids to achieve optimum occupancy, minimizing rent arrears, and maximizing income from managing agents to contribute to scheme viability.
- Provide intensive housing management to help clients maintain their tenancy, stay safe, and understand their rights and obligations.
- Support clients in understanding and planning their support packages, focusing on positive outcomes to maximize potential and enable exercise of choice and control.
- Offer advocacy support to clients and their families to maximize independence and personal potential.
- Coordinate with external agencies to ensure clients receive maximum support and can access and maintain community integration.
- Implement safeguarding principles and responsibilities to ensure client safety and mitigate risks to stakeholders and the business.
- Promote safe practices and conduct risk assessments within legislative and business protocols, escalating issues as necessary.
- Contribute to special programmes and projects supporting the Groupβs objectives.
Qualifications and Attainments
- Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C in English and Maths; NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or willingness to work towards.
Work Experience
- Knowledge of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience working with the relevant client group.
- Understanding of key needs and services for the client group.

- Positive and accepting approach to clients with diverse needs.
- Ability to keep accurate records and communicate relevant information clearly.
