As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative, sustainable water and wastewater solutions that make a tangible difference to communities across the UK and Ireland. Working as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team, you will contribute to long-term infrastructure frameworks for major utility providers. From the outset, you will be involved in hands-on engineering design, client engagement, and site-based activities that bring projects to life.
About You
My client is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual who brings both technical expertise and a passion for infrastructure development. The ideal candidate will have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in water and/or wastewater infrastructure or non-infrastructure projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with a desire to learn
- Familiarity with design software and hydraulic modelling tools (desirable)
Your Role
The successful candidate will support the delivery of energy-efficient, low whole-life-cost projects across all stages of the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing water and wastewater treatment works, pumping stations, and pipework layouts
- Producing feasibility studies, outline and detailed designs
- Conducting hydraulic analysis and preparing technical specifications
- Supporting project management and contract administration
- Ensuring CDM compliance through design risk assessments and management plans
