Job Role: Project Engineer Location: Derbyshire Salary: up to £45k Benefits: _ (23 holiday + public holidays / Group life insurance/ Income protection / Medical Insurance / Pension Advice)_ Job Role Responsibilities: My client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Project Engineer to join their team. This role is key to ensuring the successful execution of projects from contract award through to delivery and after-sales support. The successful candidate will act as a central liaison between internal departments, clients, and external suppliers to ensure technical, commercial, and logistical requirements are met. Client and Stakeholder Liaison: · Work closely with Sales and Estimating at the point of contract award to ensure a smooth project handover. · Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal teams throughout the lifecycle of the project. Project Documentation: · Produce, control, and issue all required project documentation in a timely and accurate manner. · Ensure all documentation complies with client and regulatory requirements. Procurement & Subcontract Management: · Manage purchasing of all necessary materials, consumables, and subcontracted services. · Ensure on-time delivery and cost efficiency for all procured items. Cost & Programme Control: · Monitor and control project costs, ensuring alignment with budget forecasts. · Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules in coordination with production. Production & Inspection Coordination: · Liaise with production teams to schedule and forecast manufacturing activities. · Coordinate with inspection teams to arrange inspections and client visits as required. Logistics & Shipping: · Organise shipping arrangements and liaise with freight forwarders for on-time delivery. · Ensure all shipping documentation and compliance requirements are met. Final Documentation & Handover: · Compile final data dossiers for client submission and project closeout. · Provide comprehensive after-sales technical support as needed. Administrative Support: · Perform general project administration tasks to support the efficient running of all projects. The Candidate · Degree or HNC/HND in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline. · Proven experience in a similar Project Engineer or Project Coordinator role. · Experience with engineering documentation and procurement processes. · Working knowledge of manufacturing and inspection processes is desirable. · Proficient in MS Office; AUTOCAD
