A Contentious Probate Solicitor is required to join a reputable, award-winning Top 200 UK Law Firm based out of any of their offices on a full-time permanent basis.
This is an opportunity for a Contentious Probate Solicitor to become a member of an established law firm that upholds its reputation for providing exceptional service to its clientele. The Dispute Resolution and Litigation team specialises in providing bespoke solutions for clients in all forms of litigation, arbitration, and Alternative Dispute Resolution. On offer is the opportunity to work on high-quality matters with flexible working, training, and development and an attractive package.
Title: Contentious Probate Solicitor
Salary: Up to £85,000 DOE
Contract: Full-time permanent
Location: Flexible
Key Responsibilities of the Contentious Probate Solicitor:
- Provide a quality, tailored, and supportive legal service to a wide range of clients
- Proactively manage a litigation caseload
- Mentor and support junior members of the team with their caseloads
- Support the head of the department and partners with their client work
- Manage a complex mixed caseload of client matters with limited supervision
- Enhance the firm\’s standing in the community by developing a strong professional reputation and actively participating in professional and community activities
- Manage own time effectively to achieve targets and display excellent file management skills
- Act for a mix of Claimants and Defendants, from obtaining initial instructions through to achieving a resolution to the dispute
- Maintain own caseload, and obtain appropriate guidance from Senior Lawyers when required
- Advise clients on procedures and alternative dispute resolution processes
- Identify and liaise with appropriate experts and Counsel
- Undertake advocacy, when cost-effective, at all interlocutory stages
- Keep up to date with developments in litigation law, disseminate developments to team members, and initiate opportunities for self-development

- You will have 2+ years PQE in Dispute Resolution and Litigation law
