Generations People is recruiting for an exciting opportunity; we are currently looking for an operative to join the Goods in team for our client based in Chesterfield in the S44 area. We are seeking a ‘hard-working’ willing to learn Operatives who are looking for long term opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities for the Goods in Operative:

  • Accounting for all incoming stock, ensuring this is accurately checked and recorded.
  • Checking product description
  • Checking for damage and reporting to supervisor
  • Ensuring all completed paperwork is passed to the Goods in Office
  • Ensuring Health and Safety standards are met.
  • Awareness of company security measures.
  • Achieving the agreed productivity level
  • Ensuring housekeeping standards for inside and outside the bays are always maintained
  • Ensuring all Health and Safety standards are met

Essential Skills and Competences:

  • Good eye for detail – Accuracy is very important in this position
  • Strong Verbal communication skills
  • Good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Previous experience in goods in would be desirable
  • Due to the nature of the role, you will need to be capable of standing and walking for long periods of time as well as bending and lifting in line with Health and Safety Regulations.
  • FLT Licence and experience is also desirable – Counterbalance or Reach considered

This is a temp to perm position starting on the agency.
