We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Support Specialist to join our team in Leeds 12 (West Yorkshire). This is a flexible, hybrid-working role, offering a great balance between working from home and the office!
This is a key role within the logistics team, providing vital support to the Freight Manager and wider logistics operations. With a passion for detail, strong administrative skills, and proficiency with Microsoft systems, especially Excel, your role will include supporting other teams with analytics and reporting related to logistics performance in addition to:
- Ensuring carriers meet performance standards (KPIs)
- Helping to progress logistics projects
- Maintaining accurate data and records across the EMEA region
As a subject matter expert, the Logistics Support Specialist helps ensure that shipments will be managed the correct way, in time, expected quality and meet the necessary service requirements.

We’re looking for someone with:
- In-depth knowledge of international and local transport markets, mainly in the parcel and express sectors as well as the freight markets (Road/Air/Sea)
- Several years of professional experience in logistics, freight management, customer management and offer processing, ideally in the distribution environment
- Cost consciousness
- Understanding fast pace logistic environments within courier logistics
- Good understanding of online logistic portals (such as: UPS, DHL, FedEx)
- Proactive approach with heavy data analysis finding root causes within day to day logistic activities
- Understanding of logistics terminology and processes
- Strong data analysis skills, especially using Excel
- Effective problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
- Confidence in interpreting policies and choosing the best course of action
- Ability to work independently with sound judgment and discretion
What will you be doing:
- Monitor domestic and international shipments
- Development of optimization options to control and reduce freight cost
- Provide reporting to support financial decisions and demonstrate cost control
- Contact person of local and central service providers as well as internal customers and related departments involved in the shipping process
- Organization of special transports
- Continuously look for opportunities to improve processes and performance metrics
- Keep records—both digital and physical—updated and accurate
- Carry out additional duties as required
