Position not right for you? Share it with someone you know. In recent years, we have seen a new era emerging in cruising. There is a trend for everything to get bigger and busier, and for a cruise to be seen as an alternative to a large luxury resort, with a limitless flurry of activity. But this is not for us. We believe there is another way to cruise. A way that is based on five generations of seafaring. Where cabins are called cabins and ships look like ships. Where the journey is as important as the destination. In our world, smaller is better, and we believe in keeping the experience on board uncrowded, warm and civilised – treating passengers as guests, like the family run business we are. It would be easy to follow the trends and go with the crowds. But we never will. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is a family run company, well known for our quality cruises and the β€˜personal’ touch we offer our guests. The Destination Manager works within a busy tours office and has overall responsibility for the smooth running of shore excursions, managing the team responsible for on-board sales with the goal of maximising the destination experience for guests. Daily duties include: Day to day management of the Destination team; Liaising with all relevant onboard departments regarding tours operations; Liaising with guests, monitoring, understanding and communicating all feedback effectively to the relevant parties involved, finding resolutions where possible; Planning of promotional events; Liaising with tour providers and with the Destination Experience team shoreside to evaluate and improve the product; Monitoring and achieving financial targets; Training, development and evaluation of Destination team members. We are looking for individuals that possess the following essential skills and qualities: Persuasive yet friendly sales technique gained through experience within a sales role; At least 2 years Managerial Experience working within busy departments; Ship-board experience, ideally served on a cruise ship; Ambitious, hardworking and results driven work ethic, with a focus on excellent customer service; Enthusiastic about travel and keen to learn with a good knowledge of geography; Commercial awareness and used to working towards challenging objectives and to deadlines; Engaging public speaking manner when presenting to large groups; Travel and Tourism qualifications preferable; STCW Basic Safety Training is required. In return, you will receive a competitive salary and a 3:1 work rotation of three months on board followed by one month of leave. This is an exciting opportunity to work on board our cruise ships, travelling to worldwide destinations whilst enhancing our guests\’ holiday experience. This is your chance to give our guests the experience of a lifetime! We will shortlist candidates that are either fully vaccinated or willing to be vaccinated against COVID19. **We do not charge candidates any referral fee** **Direct applicants only please. Any candidates submitted by recruitment agencies will be treated as direct applicants** #J-18808-Ljbffr
