LOCATION: The Paddocks, Birchgrove (SA7)

SALARY: £13.20 - £13.90* per hour

SHIFT PATTERNS: 08:30-21:00 & 21:00-08:00

Please note: We require a Male Support Worker over the age of 18 due to a genuine occupational requirement for the people we support, making this position exempt from the gender discrimination rule.

About The Paddocks: The Paddocks in Swansea supports up to 5 adults with Mental Health needs. The staff team understand that recovery is a journey, and through outcome-focused approaches, they support people to achieve their goals. This Mental Health recovery residential service helps individuals build on their strengths, skills, and resilience. Joining our team at The Paddocks is fulfilling and rewarding, offering stability and opportunities for career growth. Many managers and team leaders started as Support Workers and advanced through ongoing training and coaching.

As a Support Worker, your responsibilities include:

  • Promoting service users' independence while helping them live fulfilling lives.
  • Supporting and encouraging the development of personal skills through hobbies and interests.
  • Maintaining and assisting with healthcare needs, including accompanying service users to appointments or administering medication.
  • Teaching life skills such as budgeting, paying bills, and shopping.
  • Assisting with personal care (depending on the service user).
  • Helping with domestic tasks like cleaning and cooking.

Experience in the care sector is not essential as full training is provided. What we value most is enthusiasm and commitment to our company values to support people in living happy and healthy lives.
