Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Define and lead a clear vision for inclusive education and SEND support, ensuring cohesive delivery across departments.
- Team Development: Inspire and manage high-performing teams, embedding accountability and shared goals to deliver excellent learner experiences.
- Compliance & Innovation: Ensure full alignment with SEND legislation and statutory requirements, while introducing creative and effective models of support.
- Curriculum Oversight: Guide Heads of Area and specialist staff to provide consistent, high-quality curriculum provision across the organisation.
- Financial Management: Provide expert advice on SEND-related funding, budgets, and data quality. Prepare accurate reports and ensure best value through strategic planning and negotiation.
- Inclusive Culture: Promote an environment where inclusion is embedded in all aspects of delivery, collaborating with staff and external partners to remove barriers to learning.
What Weβre Looking For
- A degree-level qualification (or equivalent).
- A professional qualification in SEND or a related field.
- Proven experience working within an educational setting with a strong track record of improving outcomes for learners with additional needs.
- In-depth knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, inclusive education practices, and funding frameworks.
- Strong understanding of current research and policy developments in SEND and inclusion.
