A Teacher or Tutor of English is required for a secondary school in the Gateshead area. You will deliver English to Key Stages 3 and 4 pupils. This role is to commence as soon as possible and be ongoing long term for the right candidate, working 4 days a week (not on Fridays). This secondary school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.
The ideal English Teacher or Tutor candidate would:
- Have a passion for teaching English
- Have excellent subject knowledge
- Be able to organise themselves
- Be able to engage with children in a proactive way
We are keen to hear from both experienced English Teachers or ECTs. To apply for this position, you would ideally hold QTS or QTLS. In addition, you must:
- Provide two referees we can contact
- Have a DBS form or be prepared to obtain one
Please note that the rate of pay will be dependent on where you are on the National Teacher Pay scales and the level of experience that you have to date.
