About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Asbestos Operative to join our professional team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and compliant removal and treatment of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) across a range of environments, including schools and commercial properties. This role requires physical resilience, a strong understanding of asbestos regulations, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to travel and work occasional unsociable hours is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out asbestos removal, encapsulation, and associated works in line with HSE guidance and company procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental legislation at all times.
- Complete all relevant documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and job sheets.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site safety on all projects.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the company professionally, especially when working in sensitive environments such as schools or public buildings.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3 yearsβ hands-on experience in asbestos removal or abatement.
- Valid, in-date asbestos qualifications (e.g. ARCA or ACAD training certificates).
- Enhanced DBS clearance (essential for working in schools and similar environments).
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Excellent understanding of asbestos regulations and safe working practices.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high safety standards.
- Physically fit, with the ability to undertake manual work in various site conditions.
