Role Overview: We are looking to hire an experienced Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to join our field service team. You will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of commercial refrigeration systems. This role requires autonomy, initiative, and the ability to integrate into a skilled, high-performing engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service, fault find, and maintain commercial refrigeration systems, including walk-in cold rooms, chilled storage, and frozen environments.
- Carry out diagnostics and leak detection to identify and resolve system faults.
- Perform installation and commissioning of refrigeration systems across commercial sites.
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety standards and company procedures.
- Provide high-quality customer service and represent the company professionally on client premises.
- Participate in the on-call rota (1 in 5) and work overtime during busier periods (especially summer).
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial refrigeration (not domestic or purely air conditioning).
- Strong background in cold store, chiller, and freezer systems.
- Valid F-Gas Category 1 certification.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable (Advantageous) Experience:
- COâ‚‚ refrigeration systems (Beneficial).
- Transport refrigeration background.
- Installation experience on a commercial scale (not limited to display fridges).
