On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced and detail-focused Electrical Estimator to join a busy pre-construction team working across a diverse range of commercial, public, and industrial projects across Kent & London.
You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates for projects including fit-outs, refurbishments, and new builds. This role requires a solid understanding of building services, electrical systems, and the tendering process, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, engineers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical works across public health & commercial projects.
- Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to assess project scope.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotes to support accurate pricing.
- Liaise with design, mechanical, and construction teams for coordinated submissions.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and potential cost risks.
- Attend tender clarification meetings and site visits as needed.
- Assist in preparation of tender submissions and bid strategy.
- Maintain up-to-date records of estimating activity and pricing databases.
- Support handover to delivery teams post-award.
What You Will Need
- Proven experience as an electrical estimator, ideally within MEP or main contracting.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems and building services.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
- Familiarity with current electrical regulations and installation practices.
- Good working knowledge of estimating software (e.g., Trimble, Estimation, or similar).
- Strong numeracy, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Electrical qualification/background (NVQ, HNC, or equivalent) preferred.
